Started in 2007 with a Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering recognised by Govt of Karnataka and Affiliated to Mangalore University and Karnataka State Open University.Now MIFSE stands first to start MBA in HSE Management under affiliation to Karnataka State Open University,Mysore.The registrar of Karnataka State Open University Mr Jayaprakash Rao and MIFSE Chairman Mr.Ando Paul signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in this regard recently. A copy of the MOU (agreement) was presented by Professor K.S Rangappa Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University to MIFSE Chairman in the presence of MIFSE Managing Director Mr Vinod K J and KSOU Dean (Academic) Prof Jagadish The above course consists of 8 specialisations like H.R, Finance,Marketing,Banking,Petro-Chemical,Infrastructure,Marine & Export and Energy Management .Out of which one specialisation has to be choosen with HSE as compulsory specialisation.The syllabus for MBA is prepared by eminent professors under the guidance of safety professionals.
Towering inferno at Mantralaya Mumbai, out break of fire accident at Carlton towers, AMRI Hospital Kolkata, Bruhat Bangalore MahanagaraPalike, North block of parliament have caused a great loss. Consequently the health of the people and the environment were also ravaged in the concern places on this have happened due to lack of safety measures. The government has realized all such problems and the consequences and contemplates to plug it through proper legislation. If the legislation is through it becomes binding on the part of Private Companies, Public Companies, Government companies and MNC’s to appoint safety officers and required crew. This positions apparently demands excellent knowledge and skill in safety measures.
